About the Author

Richard Bushman is the Gouverneur Morris Professor of History Emeritus at Columbia University. He is the author of numerous books, including Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 2006. Bushman is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Humanities Council.
